Relief and Trust Society came into being in 2022, in response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Since then, every year has brought new challenges and new people who have joined us. Today we are a small team, supported by dozens of volunteers, alongside partners in Romania and in Germany.
Our vision
A society in which every person has access to equal opportunities, finds a safe home and has the essential resources for a life of dignity. We believe in the strength of community and in the power of solidarity.
Our mission
To support vulnerable people through material, spiritual and psychological assistance. To promote social integration and personal development through educational programmes. To bring together resources and people for a lasting impact.
Together we change lives.
The association's motto
The people behind the projects
Camelia Tilihoi — president. Coordinates the association's work and its relations with institutional partners.
Carmen Tilihoi — vice-president. Supports the coordination of projects and partnerships.
Sorin Demetriad Luncan — secretary. Makes sure the association runs properly under its statutes.
The volunteer team — dozens of people who, when a need comes to light, turn up and get to work. Without them not a single wall would have gone up.
Five things we do not negotiate
- Dignity. Every person deserves a warm home and a place of their own.
- Acting fast. When we are needed, we go. Straight away, not in a month's time.
- Community. Nothing gets done alone. We build together.
- Faith. We are moved by the belief that a person matters.
- Transparency. We publish activity reports every year.
Eifellicht e.V., a friendship from the heart of the Eifel
From our very first steps, in 2022, the Eifellicht e.V. foundation in Germany has stood beside us. What began as a quick response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine turned, over time, into a bond of trust and a lasting friendship between the two associations.
Under the leadership of its president, HP Thiel, Eifellicht has met every challenge we have shared with professionalism, integrity and that quiet generosity which expects no thanks. The distance between the Eifel and Bucovina turned out to be not an obstacle but an opportunity.
It is not just an institutional partner or a project sponsor. It is, above all, a family of people with hearts of gold, alongside whom the finest pages of these years have been written.
